The annual cycling race Omloop der Kempen takes place in the Kempen region of the Netherlands and has not only a sporting aspect, but also an important social function. This can be investigated, for example, in the Brainport region.

Research into social cohesion in the Brainport region can provide insight into the effects of sports events and businesses on solidarity and help develop policies and initiatives aimed at bringing people together in the region. By investing in research into social cohesion and organizing events such as Omloop der Kempen, we can contribute to a stronger and more connected community in the Brainport region. Therefore, Omloop der Kempen is collaborating with a student from Fontys University of Applied Sciences who is researching globalization in the Brainport region and asking to fill out the survey to help map out what is needed promote the diverse community of the Brainport region.
